The Mollusca, common name molluscs or mollusks is a large Phylum of invertebrates animals. Phylum mollusca are didvided into 9 or 10 taxonomic classes, of which two are extinct. The snails and slugs (snail without shell), include by classified species. The squids, cuttlefish and octopus are are among the most neurologically advanced invertebrates called Cephalopod mollusks. The colossal squid largest known species of animal without a backbone, and commonly called Antartic or Giant Cranch Squid, believed to be the largest squid species.
The Dumbo Squid
The Grimpteuthis or Dumbo octopus, have ear-like fins on top of its head, and this species are very rare. Found in any ocean sheets.
Blue Ringed Octopus
The Blue-ringed octopus, about the golf ball size octopus or even smaller are poisonous to human and there is no known antivenin for the venom that contains neuro toxins and can lead to paralysis and if left unattended, it will end up in cardiac arrest for the victims. They live in tide pools in the Pacific ocean, from Japan to Australia.
Cuttlefish
The Cuttlefish are considered one of the most intelligent invertebrates in the world and actually a mollusks and part of squids and octopus. The Cuttlefish is a master of camouflage and has unique skin cells that can change its pigment t create various colors like metallic green, yellow and blue. They also have the ability to influence the color of light reflected from its skin and even polarization of lights and used as signals to others from their predators and preys.
Vampire Squid
The Vampire squid or Vampyroteuthis, which is translated as “vampire squid from hell”, another inhabitant of the deep sea, found in tropical and temperate oceans, and was mistaken for “unidentified octopus”, the first time seen from the deep sea.
Jewel Squid
These Jewel squid, found in 1,650 lung-crushing feet (500 meters) beneath the sea surface of North Atlantic. Also known for its scientific name as Histrioteuthis and very rare species of squid.
Big Red Octopus
The Big-red octopus are very peculiar looking oddball, found in 1,500 meters deep in the ocean and was captured.
Champion Chewer Squid
The Champion-chewer squid, are found 80,000 deep sea organisms found in Northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge, a chain of undersea chain mounting halfway between Europe and North America. This new, unusual type of squid was called Promachoteuthis Sloan. The shape of its beak suggests the squid is a powerful chewer.
