A household domesticated animal or we call pet or companion animal, is kept for a pet owner’s enjoyment, as to set an adversary to laboratory animals, working animals, livestock and sport animals which are raised and kept for financial purposes. Most pet owners, kept pets for their attractive appearances, expensive breed pets and for their loyal or playful personalities. Most of pet owners raised their pets and provide them with benefits, such as companion pets to the adults or elderly, who no longer have enough social interaction with other people. However, the physical and emotional benefits of owning a pet, is verified in most medical studies by the scientists, and was later confirmed that pets are best therapy animals, commonly the pet dogs, where they are brought to visit people in confinements. The Pet therapy utilizes trained handlers and trained animals to achieve physical, social, cognitive, and emotional goals with patients. Most of the pet owners, achieve fresh air, exercise and social interaction every time they take their pet dogs for a walk. Numerous people owns dogs and cats for a pet, while some loves town exotic and weird pets, such as gerbils, hamster, chinchillas, guinea pigs, or avian pets, reptiles, aquatic pets such as tropical fish or frogs or even insects. Although there are cities that prohibit owning exotic pets especially those who are in the list of endangered species, but some pet shops sell these animals secretly for business purposes. Bonding between the dog and the patient must be develop by introduction using verbal commands such as stay and sit , and interaction between the patient and the assistance dog. Most Therapist use trained animals as a form of motivation for the patient, where the patient is asked to “perform a tasks”, such as feeding food and drinking water for their animals to improve motor functions like walking. Positive social interactions with animals, can give best results to positive human interactions. The prairie dogs, breed well in zoos but difficult to breed in captivity, when removed from the wild, which is the common method of supplying the demands in market. The prairie dogs are difficult to train as pets, which requires regular attention and grass diet and hay. Each year, The prairie dogs go into a period called estrous cycle or rut, (containing the reappearing of physiologic changes that are induced by mammalian therian females reproductive hormones) lasting for several months, where the prairie dog’s personalities changes drastically, which they can be defensive or even aggressive often. Despite the prairie dog’s need, they can be social animals and can seem to as though they treat humans as their colony members, and response to barking and chirping, and even come near when called by their given name.

The four-toed hedgehog or the white-bellied hedgehog ( Atelerix albiventris) are the most common pet species of hybrids hedgehog (Atelerix albiventris) and the (A. algirus) North African hedgehog, which is smaller than the European hedgehog, and sometimes called the African pygmy hedgehog. Most of the male Russian hamster or Djungarian become very depressed when separated from their female mates, becomes inactive, showing weird behaviors and eat more and can lead to obesity. The Djungarian or Russian hamster are known monogamous with their mates.

Guinea Pigs
The Guinea pigs can be an excellent pets, they can remember accurately, but learn complicated their ways to food,for months. While guinea pigs can jump slightly, they are poor climbers, and are not active or slow movement. They easily startle, and will either freeze in a corner for long periods or run rapidly for cover, to shoot a quick look motions when they sense danger.
