Gossip or rumor, is a kind of idle talk about the personal or private affairs of other individuals, commonly sharing of facts, slander and views and spreading misinformation or false story,featuring scandals and controversies. Some newspapers and magazines contains what they call, gossip columns and Gossip magazines, which detail the social and personal lives of famous celebrities from politics to showbiz industry or some communities of elite members. These gossip magazines marked by sensationalism and explicit content by gossip columnists, including celebrity homosexuality stories, separation of famous couples in showbusiness and illegal drug use. The best known gossip magazines in the world, such in United States is the US Weekly, in the United Kingdom is the Hello! magazine, in Italy Gente and Chi, in France Actustar and Voici, in Germany the Bunte magazine, and in Hong Kong the East Touch magazine. The most common topic for gossip and controversies involve celebrities in showbiz and music industry, politicians, society, religion, sex, economics, science, finances, culture, education, military,media, age, gender and race, athletes. Photographers who take pictures for famous celebrities or prominent people without the knowledge or permission of the said individuals, are known as Paparazzi (plural for) paparazzo (for male) or paparazza for female. Paparazzi’s intention is to be an independent contractors and are not affiliated by any media organizations, intending to get a “scoop news” and sell it to gossip magazines on higher price. Most celebrities complain about the extent of invading their private life by the paparazzi and some of these celebrities, have filed restraining orders against these paparazzi, and their reputation is a nuisance, that in some states and countries especially in European country they restrict the paparazzi’s activities by passing laws and curfews and organized events in which paparazzi are not allowed to take photographs.
1) Wesley Snipes
Wesley Trent Snipes an American actor, film producer, and martial artist, best known for his character role Blade in the Marvel comics Blade film trilogy. Wesley Snipes began serving a three-year prison sentence in McKean Federal Correctional Institution a federal prison in McKean County, Pennsylvania, for misdemeanor failure to file U.S. federal income tax returns in 2010. Wesley Snipes, Eddie Ray Kahn ( founded the American Rights Litigators group and ran the Guiding Light of God Ministries for-profit businesses and “Eddie Kahn and Associates” which according to the U.S. Justice Department, these all three organizations were operating illegal tax evasion) and Douglas P. Rosile were charged with one count of conspiring to defraud the United States and one count of knowingly making or aiding and approve making false and fraudulent claim for payment against the United States on October 12, 2006. Snipes was also charged with six counts of willfully failing to file federal income tax returns by their filing dates. On April 24, 2008, Snipes was sentenced to three years in prison for willful failure to file federal income tax returns, and was released from prison in April 2 2013, Tuesday, Eddie Kahn is incarcerated at the Rivers Correctional Institute, a federal facility at Winton, North Carolina. As a result of his latest convictions, his scheduled release date was changed from July 18, 2015 to April 21, 2026. and Douglas Rosile was incarcerated at the Federal Community Corrections Office at Cincinnati, Ohio, and was released on June 1, 2012. Snipes has been married twice, first to April Snipes, with whom he has a son, Jelani Asar Snipes, born in 1988. In 2003, Snipes married painter Nakyung “Nikki” Park, with whom he has four children, son Akhenaten Kihwa-T Snipes, daughter Iset Jua-T Snipes (born 2001), son Alaafia Jehu-T Snipes (born 2004), and son Alimayu Moa-T Snipes (born 2007). Snipes spends a lot of time in South Korea, Park’s home country which Snipes consider it as his “second home.”Snipes, who was raised a Christian, converted in 1978 to Islam, but left Islam in 1988.
2) Cee Lo Green
Thomas DeCarlo Callaway better known by his stage name Cee Lo Green, is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, and actor, and became widely known as Goodie Mob member a southern hip hop group, and as part of the Gnarls Barkley soul duo with Danger Mouse, however, he took a break from Gnarls Barkley to pursue a solo career and release on August 19 his “Fuck You” single which became an instant hit. Cee Lo Green is one of the coaches for the TV show, The Voice contestants on seasons one to Season 3. Green will be returning as a coach on the fifth season. Cee Lo was married to Christina Johnson, and have a son Kingston Green born in 2000, until they divorced in 2005. Cee Lo Green was accused of sexual battery and is being investigated by the LAPD on October 30, 2012, and the woman accused Cee Lo of sexual battery, stated that the assault occurred in a popular L.A. sushi restaurant. Another controversy was at the April 2011 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, when Cee Lo was 25 minutes late, to perform five songs, including “Forget You” and “Don’t Stop Believin’” a cover of Journey’s album. Green’s set was scheduled to end at 5:40 pm, so Green apologized for being late, but he said it was not his fault, because of flight delayed, however, the audio from his microphone was quickly cut off, and received boos from the audience when Green walked out from the stage. On June 16, 2011, journalist Andrea Swensson a journalist of City Pages, made a negative review about one of Green’s performances, and written, “failed to measure up to the fun factor of his recorded material”. Green tweeted the following day in response for Swensson’s comment, “I respect your criticism but be fair! People enjoyed last night! I’m guessing ur gay? And my masculinity offended u? well fuck U!”. And Cee Lo Green immediately received negative responses from some of his Twitter followers, to which he replied “Apologies gay community! what was homophobic about that?” Green and said that his comments were in good fun, that “I am not harboring any sort of negative feeling toward the gay community”. On December 31, 2011, Green sang Imagine by John Lennon, on the eve of December 31, 2011, just before the New Year’s Eve ball drop at New York City Time Square, in which Green replaced the “and no religion, too” line with “and all religion’s true”. Critics and some people claimed this as an “imaginary revision” of the meaning behind John Lennon’s original “Imagine” lyrics. Shortly After his performance, Green responded via Twitter; that he didn’t mean to disrespect the lyric when he replaced it, and was just trying say a “world where u could believe what u wanted that’s all” [“thus was it written”], and deleted a series of event to his Twitter.
3) Paris Jackson Attempted Suicide
Paris Jackson, the 15-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson, was rushed to a hospital after cutting one of her wrists early Wednesday morning, sources close to the Jackson family told CNN. Through Rowe’s lawyer, she issued an statement Wednesday morning: “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts for Paris at this time and their respect for the family’s privacy.”Some rumors reported that, Paris was saddened learning that his brother Prince is not her biological brother having different father and surrogate mother.

Robyn Gibson filed for divorce on April 13, 2009, citing irreconcilable differences, however, the filing of divorce was followed by the release of photographs in March 2009, showing Mel Gibson embracing Russian pianist, Oksana Grigorieva on a beach. Oksana Grigorieva, the 43 year-old pianist, singer and songwriter also served as Gibson’s executive producer, who previously had a son with former James Bond actor, Timothy Dalton. Mel Gibson and Robyn Gibson’s divorce was finalized on December 23, 2011, and the settlement with his ex-wife was said to be the highest in Hollywood history at over $400,000,000. Grigorieva gave birth to Gibson’s daughter Lucia on October 30, 2009, however, it was made public that Gibson and Grigorieva had split in April 2010. Oksana Grigorieva filed a restraining order on June 21, 2010 against Gibson to keep him away from her and their child, and the restraining order was modified the next day regarding Gibson’s contact with their daughter. Gibson obtained a restraining order against Grigorieva on June 25, 2010, in response to her claims of domestic violence that occurred in January 2010. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department launched a domestic violence investigation in July 9, 2010, where some audio recordings alleged to be of Gibson were posted on the internet. William Morris Endeavor, Gibson’s agency dropped him that same day. The Civil Rights activists alleged that Gibson had shown behaviors of racism, sexism and anti-Semitism and called for a boycott of Gibson’s movies. Robyn Gibson, Gibson’s estranged wife, filed a court statement declaring that she never experienced any abuse from Gibson in defense for her ex husband. Oksana Grigorieva dropped claims of domestic violence abuse against Mel Gibson in May 2011, settled with Gibson in August 2011, and was awarded $750,000, joint legal custody and a house in Sherman Oaks, California until their 3-year-old daughter Lucia turns 18. Grigorieva sued her attorneys in 2013, accusing them of advising her to sign a bad agreement, including one with her taking legal action against Gibson that would compromise her financial settlement.

Sheen told NBC’s Today, that he stayed very calm and focused. On May 2, 2011, Sheen and Mueller’s divorce was finalized. Sheen was currently living with Rachel Oberlin,a model and pornographic actress and Natalie Kenly a graphic designer, on March 1, 2011, whom he called his “goddesses”. After a month, on April 2011, Oberlin left Sheen and Kenly left in June 2011. The bracelets raised $1.5 million, as of March 29, 2011, however, Alyson Oliver, a lawyer, filed a lawsuit in June 2011, against Lady Gaga in Detroit in June 2011, noting that the bracelet was subject to a sales tax and an added shipping charges to the price of $3.99. Oliver also believed that not all proceeds from the bracelets would go to the relief efforts, demanding a public accounting of the campaign and refunds for people who had bought the bracelet. But according to Lady Gaga’s spokesperson, called the lawsuit “meritless” and “misleading”. On June 25, 2011, Lady Gaga performed at a MTV Japan charity show on June 25, 2011 in Makuhari Messe, benefited by the Japanese Red Cross. Another controversy about Lady Gaga, during her performance to the MTV Video Music Awards in 2010, when she wore a dress made of raw beef, with her boots, a purse, and a hat that were also all made out of raw beef, which was condemned by animal rights groups.
9) Sam Jones III
Samuel L. Jones III known as Sam Jones III sometimes Samuel Jones, is an American actor, known for his role as Pete Ross on the first three seasons of the Smallville (Superman) television series, in Glory Road 2006 film as Willie Worsley and on Blue Mountain State as Craig Shilo. Jones was sentenced on June 22, 2011, to 366 days in federal prison, receiving leniency from the Judge due to the “minor role” he played in the plot. Federal prosecutors had initially requested a 5-year prison term. Jones began serving his sentence on December 6, 2011, at the Lompoc Correctional Complex in California, and was transferred to Long Beach, California to a federal community corrections facility. On October 12, 2012, Jones III, was released after serving 10 months in prison. Jones III was rumored dating Karissa Shannon, in March 2010, with whom he created a sex video tape. Jones III was misrepresented publicly in 2011 about his age as 28 years old, when he was actually 32.

A second masseur later joined the lawsuit claiming the same case, one in Atlanta and the other formerly in California have filed lawsuits against actor Travolta, claiming he sexually abused them, and both complainants are represented by attorney Okorie Okorocha. However, both lawsuits were dropped by the complainants and was dismissed without prejudgment. Judge Malcolm Mackey, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge, dismissed the defamation lawsuit filed by writer Robert Randolf against John Travolta and his lawyer, Marty Singer, on September 27, 2012, because the written letter by Singer in response to Randolph’s allegations in a book, it has a free speech protection. After Travolta’s son’s death, Jett, whom he confirmed speculation that his son had autism and suffered regular seizures and made immediate public statements while giving testimony after a multi-million dollar extortion plot against Travolta, regarding in his son’s death. Travolta dropped the charges after a mistrial and has thanked his family and friends and faith in helping him survive the premature death of his son, Jett.

Shriver and Schwarzenegger separated after 25 years of marriage, on May 9, 2011, with Maria Shriver moving out of their Brentwood mansion. The Los Angeles Times, published on May 16, 2011, that Schwarzenegger had fathered a son more than fourteen years earlier with an employee in their household for 20 years, Mildred Patricia ‘Patty’ Baena, from Guatemala origin who resigned in January 2011. Schwarzenegger said in a statement issued to The Times, “after leaving the governor’s office, I told my wife about this event that occurred over a decade ago”, but did not mention that he had confessed to his wife only after Maria Shriver had confronted him which Shriver suspected about the child, and when she had done after confirming with the 50 year old housekeeper, Baena. The actor, television writer, director and producer Peter Marc Jacobson, also known as the co-creator of The Nanny sitcom, which he created and wrote with Fran Drescher, his then wife actress, who was also the star of the series. In 1978, Jacobson married Fran Drescher, and both are 21 years old at that time. The couple moved to Los Angeles to launch their careers. Jacobson was assaulted and forced to watch his wife’s rape, in January 1985 at their Los Angeles home, when two convicted robbers ransacked their home. The presiding judge retained a five-year restraining order on Brown, requiring him to remain 50 yards away from Rihanna, 10 yards at public events.Chris Brown’s application for a visa to enter the UK was denied in June 2010, on the grounds of assault on Rihanna and “being guilty of a serious criminal offense”. Patricia Schnegg , a Superior Court Judge, ordered Brown’s community service be evaluated on July 10 or 11, 2012, and he was scheduled to appear in court with regard to the evaluation on August 21, 2012. Chris Brown has posted an angry response to his Tweeter, about the hit and run charges;”It’s not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars),” he wrote. “This is really ridiculous. “I have a valid driver’s license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene,” Brown added. The City Attorney will also be referring the matter to the District Attorney’s office in Los Angeles County District for a possible probation violation in the assault case against Rihanna according to the website. Chris Brown, if found guilty, he could be in prison for up to four years for violating probation. Another blow for Chris Brown, who has also been accused of assaulting a 24 year old woman in Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, California, claimed she could not walk after the said assault. However, TMZ posted a new video footage of the woman accuser reportedly showing her walking normally outside the club, just minutes after the woman claimed, Brown shoved her to the ground inside the club, and supposedly “tore her right knee ligaments,” she claims Brown “seriously injured”. Chris Brown has been involved in a number of much publicized altercations and scandals, including last year’s night club fight with rapper Drake and in January’s fight with R&B singer Frank Ocean outside a recording studio in West Hollywood, California.
