chronic condition is a disease that is persistent or a health condition that has effects of long-lasting disease with cures or non-curable condition. The chronic term is commonly applied when the disease lasts for more or less than three months. Most common chronic diseases affecting human were, arthritis, asthma, cancer, diabetes, COPD and HIV/AIDS. The term acute is the opposite term for chronic. A chronic course is characterized as appearance from a recurrent course, a recurrent diseases that repeatedly relapse with periods of remission in betweenor the state of absence of activity of a disease in patients known to have a chronic or acute illness that cannot be cured, but is commonly used to refer to absence of active cancer or inflammatory bowel disease when these repetead diseases are expected to manifest again). In 2002, reported chronic illnesses cause deaths in the US, about 70% and in 2002 chronic conditions such as heart disease, cancers,diabetes, stroke, chronic respiratory diseases, Alzheimer’s disease, mental illness and kidney diseases, were 6 of the top ten in the US population that  causes mortality.

Tom Hanks has been a spokesperson for raising awareness  of the chronic disease neuroblastoma on behalf of the James Fund.
 Neuroblastoma (NB) is the most common extracranial solid cancer in childhood and the most common cancer during infancy. Neuroblastoma is a neuroendocrine tumor, that grows from any neural crest element of the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), most frequently originates in one of the adrenal glands, but may also develop in the neck, chest,abdomen and pelvis nerve tissues.

After rumors and much speculation of separation issues between him and Mariah Carey, Cannon confirmed in August 2014 that he and Carey had separated a few months earlier.  Lupus nephritis is a kidney inflammation caused by systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), an immune system disease. SLE can also damage the skin, joints, nervous system, kidneys, and any organ or system in the body. Signs and symptoms of the lupus disease often last for many years. To treat lupus, doctors use a variety of medicines such as corticosteroids, monoclonal antibodies and aspirin, and keep the symptoms under control.

In 2011, Kim Kardashian noticed red, flaky patches on he legs, and was later diagnosed with psoriasis. Psoriasis is a common, chronic, relapsing and remitting, autoimmune skin disease, characterized by itchy red, scaly patches, papules and plaques. The skin disease can range from mild skin rashes to serious skin disorder that can be longer for few weeks or even months, but also subsides for a period of time, when taken cared of immediately. Various treatment can help control the psoriasis symptoms, but no cure is found for psoriasis. According to some experts or skin specialists, believed that psoriasis developed from stress, certain medications, drinking alcohol or smoking and can trigger an outbreak, but this skin disorder is treatable.

They are living in Scottsdale, Arizona.Bret Michaels’ fear that his daughter, Raine was borderline diabetic, was a recurring element during Michaels’ stay on The Celebrity Apprentice 3, where he appeared to raise money for the American Diabetes Association, declared the winner of that season, and also his daughter, Raine, appeared on May 23, 2010′s season finale. His condition is operable and treatable according to report, and his doctors believe they have diagnosed the problem that caused the transient ischemic attack (TIA) or  referred to as mini-strokes or warning stroke, but that the doctors feel it is unlikely related to the brain hemorrhage he suffered just a few weeks earlier. Doctors inserted a catheter into vein in Michaels’ groin, and guided a device up into his heart, to repair the damage, where it will stay permanently to stop abnormal blood flow between the two chambers of the heart. Blood clots can cause Transient ischemic stroke, also known as mini-stroke or mild stroke, and the difference between a stroke and mini-stroke is that a blockage is temporary, and there is no permanent damage to the brain.

Williams stated that snowboarding is his best therapy for Multiple Sclerosis, he said that when he stand up, he need first to hold on to something and position his legs, because he thought of falling down if he walk immediately. But when he is doing snowboarding and his feet are strapped in, he said that he feels that his brain seems to be connected to his legs and start to balance and walking after snowboarding, and there is a physical change before going up to the mountain and when he come down, the benefits last for days. Multiple sclerosis (MS), also known as disseminated sclerosis or encephalomyelitis disseminata, is an inflammatory disease in which the insulating covers the brain’s nerve cells and spinal cord are damaged, and this damage disrupts the ability of the nervous system’s parts to communicate, resulting in a wide range of signs and symptoms, also physical, mental and sometimes psychiatric problems. Multiple Sclerosis takes several forms, with new symptoms either that occurs in isolated attacks or relapsing forms, or building up over time or progressive forms, between attacks, symptoms may disappear completely, but if the disease advances, permanent neurological problems often occur. Williams stated in an interview, that he has been suffering MS disease for ten years, and by paying close attention to three things, his diet, exercise and medication.

Jillian Michaels is suffering from endometriosis and Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), also called hyperandrogenic anovulation (HA), or Stein–Leventhal syndrome, is one of the most common endocrine disorders among women. PCOS is a genetic diseases and has a diverse range of causes that are not entirely understood. The most common immediate symptoms are anovulation or menstrual cycle, excess androgenic or testoid hormones, and insulin resistance. Anovulation commonly a result in irregular menstruation, amenorrhea,and ovulation-related infertility. The hormone imbalance causes acne, hirsutism (excessive hairiness  in those parts of the body where thick hair does not normally occur or is minimal such in chest or beard) insulin resistance associated with obesity, type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol levels. Endometriosis occurs When cells from the uterus lining become displaced and grow in other areas of the body or abdomen causing pain, irregular bleeding, and problems of infertility.

Coeliac disease is caused by a reaction to gliadin, a prolamin or gluten protein found in wheat, and similar proteins found in the crops of the tribe Triticeae (which includes other common grains such as barley and rye). The only known effective treatment is a lifelong gluten-free diet.

In the October 2011 episode on The Late Show with David Letterman, Esposito announced that she had been diagnosed with celiac disease. Esposito opened a gluten-free bakery in 2012, called Jennifer’s Way Bakery in East Village, Manhattan. On March 5, 2010,Karolinska Institute of Sweden gave Fox, a honoris causa doctorate for his work in advocating a cure for Parkinson’s disease. On July 16, 1988, Fox married actress Tracy Pollan at West Mountain Inn in Arlington, Vermont. Together they have four children, Sam Michael (born May 30, 1989),  twins Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances (born February 15, 1995), and Esmé Annabelle (born November 3, 2001). In 1998, Fox had a thalamotomy, an invasive procedure, effective for involuntary shaking such as the case with Parkinson’s disease (PD), where a selected thalamus portion is surgically removed.  Fox managed his PD with the drug Sinemet. Neurosurgeons use specialized equipment to locate an area of the thalamus, usually choosing to work on only one side which commonly is the side opposite that of the worst tremors or shaking. However, due to increase of complication and risk, including problems of vision and speech, bilateral procedures are poorly accepted. The positive effects on tremors are fast. Other less destructive procedures such as subthalamic deep brain stimulation (DBS),are also preferred, since this procedure can also improve tremors and other symptoms of Parkinson’s disease (PD). Subthalamotomy is a kind of brain surgery in which the subthalamic nucleus is destroyed or removed in attempt to help alleviate movement disorders such as tremors or shaking often associated with Parkinson’s disease, which often develop after the age of 50′s. Parkinson’s disease is a neurological disorder that affects a person’s ability to walk and move normally, and the PD symptoms include shaking, problems with balance, difficulty swallowing, difficulty making facial expressions and muscle aches and pains.

Toni Braxton found out that she was pregnant with her second child, in 2002, while in the process for her fourth studio album’s release, and the  complication of her pregnancy confined her to bed rest. In March 2003, Braxton gave birth to her second son, Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis, and her son has been diagnosed with autism. Braxton has since become involved and served as the International Spokesperson with Autism Speaks. Braxton announced in November 2009, through her lawyer, Antavius Weems, that she and her husband, Keri Lewis, had separated. Rumors surfaced that Braxton had been diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2007, but she stated to Access Hollywood that the breast cancer rumors were not true and that her health is in great condition. But Braxton underwent a surgery for the removal of benign breast lump in 2008. Braxton was hospitalized briefly on April 8, 2008, and her remaining dates on the show was cancelled , which was scheduled to end on August 23, 2008.Toni Braxton later, revealed, during her appearance  on Dancing with the Stars Season 7, that she has been diagnosed with microvascular angina(small vessel disease). Braxton revealed to CBS News on November 18, 2010, that she had been diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), a life-threatening autoimmune disease, in which her brother is also a carrier of the disease, and her uncle died of complications from lupus. She underwent a surgery while taping her Braxton Family Values reality series. On December 2012, she was admitted in a Los Angeles’ hospital due to minor health issues related to her disease, lupus. Systemic lupus erythematosus  often abbreviated as SLE or lupus, is a systemic autoimmune disease or autoimmune connective tissue disease in which the immune system of our body mistakenly attacks normal and healthy tissue of the body. Lupus or SLE, can affect the skin, joints, kidneys, brain, and other organs, and can result in symptoms, such as inflammation and swelling. When the immune system is function normally, it makes proteins called antibodies that protect and fight against antigens, like viruses and bacteria. Lupus causes the immune system to be unable to differentiate antigens and healthy tissue. Chronic means that the signs and symptoms intend to last longer for more than six weeks and often for many years.

Lady Gaga was also diagnosed with lupus, but the disease is in early stages, and so the probable recovery is good. However, she had a disease similar to lupus known as Synovitis, that she had to cancel a part of her tour, because of this disease. Synovitis is the medical term for synovial membrane inflammation, the membrane lines joints which possess cavities, known as synovial joints. The Synovitis is commonly a painful condition, specially when the joint is moved. The affected joint swells due to synovial fluid collection. Synovitis can occur related with arthritis, lupus and gout, and other conditions and people with synovitis has difficulty to move or walk without assistance. Lady Gaga stated on the Larry King show, that lupus is in her family and it is genetic. She also stated that there is no sign or symptoms of lupus yet, however, she was tested borderline positive for the lupus disease.

Osbourne got drunk for the first time on whisky during his 13th birthday, and has been drinking regularly at the age of 14, and had started smoking marijuana and began partying. On April 21, 2003, Jack Osbourne made headlines when he was admitted to a child psychiatric ward due to OxyContin addiction. Jack Osbourne became a drug addict after suffering from depression and after learning that his mother Sharon Osbourne was diagnosed with colon cancer.  He attempted suicide by taking a prescription drugs and cutting his hands with shards of glass, after self-destructive behavior came to his head when he heard his girlfriend was picked up her phone from a call by her ex-boyfriend when he called her. Jack Osbourne woke up 12 hours later, but still continued using drugs until he realized that he “never wants to feel this way ever again” and confined himself into a psychiatric ward, and spent ten days detoxing and was later moved to Malibu in an adolescent rehabilitation center, where he enrolled in a recovery program. On October 7, 2012, Jack Osbourne married Lisa  Stelly in Hawaii.  On April 24, 2012, Jack Osbourne’s first daughter was born, named Pearl Clementine. Osbourne and his wife announced in August 2013, that they were expecting their second child, however, on September 6, 2013, Osbourne’s wife Lisa revealed she suffered a miscarriage in her second trimester; they had been expecting a son. Jack Osbourne announced in June 2012, that he had been diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. Osbourne stated that he experienced symptoms for years including blindness in one eye, numbness in both legs, and problems with his bladder, bowel, and stomach. Osbourne injects daily with Copaxone medication, uses vitamin supplements and hormone replacement therapy, and underwent stem cell therapy in Europe. Osbourne has changed his lifestyle, such as minimizing stress, exercising regularly, and altering his diet. But he revealed that his doctors urged him to stop joining highly intensive physical workouts and revealed of his fear of a rapid decline during his appearance in October 2013, on Dancing with the Stars.Osbourne stated that he felt the odd tingling down his legs a bit, and occasional bout of fatigue, but he did not suffer from any severe symptoms.

In November 2009, Michaele and her former husband American former vintner or wine maker,  public official, and television personality, Tareq Salahi, gained national attention allegedly, after crashing a White House state dinner in honor of Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India.Tareq reported on September 13, 2011, that his wife, Michaele was missing and maybe kidnapped after his wife, had called him to say that she was on her way to her mother’s house, but, according to her mother, she had not arrived. Michaele Salahi was soon located, after law enforcement authorities discovered that she had run off with rock band Journey guitarist, Neal Schon and she did not want to let her husband, Tareq Salahi where she was.Tareq filed for divorce on September 16, 2011, from Michaele on the grounds of adultery and abandonment or separation. However, Tareq withdraw the case shortly, but on December 15, 2011, Michaele filed for divorce, citing the grounds of cruelty and constructive desertion. On December 22, 2011, Tareq then filed new divorce suit responding to Michaele’s divorce suit, on the grounds of adultery, desertion and constructive desertion. An anonymous source close to the situation, revealed  that Neal Schon had agreed to pay Tareq Salahi, he amount of $12,000 plus Tareq’s mortgage payments over the next year to settle the case. Schon proposed to Michaele,  on October 14, 2012, and married on December 15, 2013. Michaele was suffering from multiple sclerosis, a disease that tormented her adult life. Michaele tried to lower the risk of the complications by not eating a lot. Michaele  was scheduled to appear on VH1’s show Celebrity Rehab, in 2011 seeking help in managing her Multiple Sclerosis and related stress, but the producers turned her away because she did not have any addiction or substance abuse problem.

According to Gomez’ representative that Gomez had stayed there voluntarily but not due to substance abuse, but was speculation that she was depressed that led her stay in a rehab, because of her on-again-off-again relationship with Justin Bieber. It was confirmed that Gomez had fired her mother and stepfather as her managers in April of that year, whom the two had managed Gomez since the beginning of her singing and acting career. Her mom Mandy, gave birth to her at the age of 16, and her grandparents often took care of Selena while her parents are still attending school. Selena Gomez had a close relationship with her grandparents as a child. Gomez’ parents divorced when she was 5 years old, and her mother, remarried in 2006 to Brian Teefey.  Gomez was diagnosed with the auto-immune disease lupus.

Seal suffers from a special type of lupus known as discoid lupus erythematosus, that affects the skin, that causes sores and hair loss which he was diagnosed during his teen age days. A person with discoid lupus has ten percent that will can develop systemic lupus. Seal’s DLE caused his cheek scars, as well as significant scalp involvement and causing hair loss, and his condition has been in remission for some time though his scars remain. Some speculations on how he got the scars, also rumors that he got his scars during a tribal fight.

Elliott’s symptoms stabilized and she announced that she would like to get back to her career after treatment. Graves’ disease or Flajani-Basedow-Graves disease, is an autoimmune disease, commonly affecting most the thyroid, causing frequently enlargement of goiter to twice its size or more, become overactive, with related hyperthyroid symptoms, such as increased heartbeat, muscle weakness, disturbed sleep, and irritability. Hyperthyroid can also affect the eyes, causing bulging eyes or called exophthalmos, a bulging of the eye, and affects other systems of the body, such as skin, heart, circulation and nervous system.The displacement of the eye in the case of the Grave’s disease, is due to abnormal connective tissue deposition in the orbit and extraocular muscles which can be visualized by CT scan or Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Diagnosis is preformed commonly, on the basis of symptoms, although thyroid hormone tests may be useful, specially to monitor treatment. Grave’s disease is also classified as typr II noncytotoxic hypersensitivity.  According to some experts, Grave’s disease has no non-invasive or natural way to cure it.  There are no specific diets and foods that can change thyroid function, but consuming healthy foods, is much better for the body, which will fight against infection and further development of the disease.

Herschel Junior Walker is a former college and professional football player, bobsledder, sprinter and mixed martial arts artist, started his football career with the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League (USFL), and later joined the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL), he also played for the Minnesota Vikings,Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. Walker was born to blue collar working class parents, Willis and Christine Walker, born in Wrightsville, Georgia, he has six siblings. Walker stated, when he was young, he was overweight and had a speech disorders, but his mother, taught him not to make an excuses in his life about his speech problems. In 1983, Herschel Walker married Cindy DeAngelis Grossman, his college sweetheart, but their marriage ended in divorce in 2002, after 19 years of marriage. Together, they have a son, Christian. Walker claimed he was diagnosed of a mental condition known as dissociative identity disorder (DID), a coping mechanism to help  you overcome something, also known as multiple personality disorder. Walker was a contestant in the Donald Trump’s reality television show, Celebrity Apprentice second season. Although Walter owns a food service company, he failed as a Project Manager and was fired during the 8th episode, on a task to create a new meal for Schwan’s LiveSmart frozen food line. Walker has a tae kwon do fifth-degree black belt.

Deen began  to focus on cooking for her family as something she could do without leaving her house. Deen learned Southern cooking from her grandmother, Irene Paul, one of the only places Deen felt safe was at her own stove, making as many pots of chicken and dumplings. In 1965, Paula Deen was married to Jimmy Deen, and divorced in 1989. Paula Deen was left with only $200 and money was tight raising both her kids and her younger brother, Earl “Bubba”. Paula Deen worked various jobs such as she tried hanging wallpaper, working as a bank teller, and selling real estate and insurance to support her family. Kidder was later found by a homeowner in a back yard and was taken by Los Angeles police in a distress state, caps on her teeth have fallen out, to Olive View Medical Center, and was later move to a psychiatric care. Kidder stated in 2007, that she had not had a manic episode in 11 years.

The principal types of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is the Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, that can affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract from the mouth to anus. Crohn’s disease symptoms comes often with abdominal pain, diarhhea (when severe with inflammation bowel with blood is visible) fever and weight loss.

Ryan Clark born Ryan Terry Clark, is an American football free safety for the Washington Redskin of the National Football League (NFL), and also signed up as undrafted free agent, in 2002 by the New York Giants. Clark has a disease called sickle cell trait, and the reason why he could not play in cities with high altitudes like in Denver, Colorado.  Sickle cell trait (or sicklemia) a blood disorder, which characterize a condition in which a person has one abnormal allele of the hemoglobin beta gene (is heterozygous), however, does not display the severe symptoms of the sickle cell disease occurring in a person who has two copies of that allele (is homozygous). Clark developed extreme pain in his left side and had to be rushed to the hospital while playing games against Denver Broncos at Invesco Field at Mile High in 2007, and doctors found out Clark was suffering from splenic infarction (a condition in which oxygen supply to the spleen is interrupted) due to the sickle cell trait, from which he has suffered since his childhood, these are commonly risky at high altitudes. Clark underwent a splenectomy surgery for the removal of his spleen and his gall bladder, and after the removal, Clark lost 30 pounds, but returned in 2008 to the Steelers.The Steelers took the precautionary measure of removing him for the four games played in Denver during his playing career with the team though he was cleared medically to play in Denver, in 2009 Monday Night Game, a preseason game in 2010, a playoff game in 2011 and season opener in 2012. Clark has been involved with sickle cell disease awareness, research, treatment and programming in Pittsburgh after recovering from the disease in 2007.
