There are several famous white celebrities in the film and music industry who have adorable black or mixed race children. These successful celebrities are not bothered even though they are criticized for adopting bi-racial children.
1) Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie adopted her first child on March 10, 2002, seven-month-old Maddox Chivan, from an orphanage in a local village in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, born as Rath Vibol on August 5, 2001. While filming the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in 2001, Jolie applied for adoption after she had visited Cambodia twice, and on a UNHCR field mission. However, in December 2001, the adoption process was on hold when the U.S. government banned adoptions from Cambodia in the middle of child trafficking allegations. After adoption process was finalized, Jolie took custody of Maddox in Namibia, where she was filming Beyond Borders in 2003. Jolie adopted Maddox as a single parent despite of announcing the adoption made by both Jolie and ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton. On July 6, 2005, Jolie adopted a daughter, six-month-old Zahara Marley,born Yemsrach on January 8, 2005, in Awasa, from an orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Zahara was believed mistakenly to be an AIDS orphan during the time of adoption, and it was also unknown if Jolie had contracted HIV, but she later tested negative. Soon Jolie who was accompanied by her partner Brad Pitt, to take custody of Zahara, returned to the United States, Zahara was hospitalized for dehydration and malnutrition. Brad Pitt was seeking to adopt Maddox and Zahara in December 2005 according to Pitt’s publicist, and Angelina Jolie filed a request to legally change her children’s surnames from Jolie to Jolie-Pitt, and was granted on January 19, 2006 and was soon finalized. In an attempt to avoid the media frenzy surrounding their relationship, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt went to Namibia for the birth of their first biological child, a daughter, Shiloh Nouvel born on May 27, 2006, in Swakopmund. Pitt and Jolie’s newborn baby was holding a Namibian passport as confirmed by Pitt. On March 15, 2007, Angelina Jolie adopted a son, three-year-old Pax Thien, on March 15, 2007 from an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam. Pax Thien who was abandoned by parents after birth, was born as Pham Quang Sang on November 29, 2003. Pax was adopted by Jolie as a single parent, because regulation for adoption in Vietnam, do not allow unmarried couples to co-adopt. Angelina Jolie filed a request to legally change her Pax’s surname from Jolie to Jolie-Pitt, in April, and was approved on May 31, 2007. Then on February 21, 2008, Pitt’s adoption of Pax was finalized in the United States. At the Cannes Film Festival, Angelina Jolie confirmed in May 2008, that she was expecting twins. On July 12, 2008, Jolie gave birth to a son, Knox Léon, and a daughter, Vivienne Marcheline.
2) Sandra Annette Bullock
American actress and producer, Sandra Annette Bullock, announced on April 28, 2010, that she had pushed through of adopting a son born in January 2010 in New Orleans. Sandra Bullock and husband Jesse James, television reality personality, had begun an initial adoption process four months earlier. In January 2010, Bullock’s son, Louis Bardo Bullock, began living with them, but they chose to keep the news secretly, and was revealed in March 2010, after the Oscars award. However, Sandra Bullock filed for divorce on April 28, 2010, was finalized on June 28, 2010, citing of conflict of personalities as the reason. Bullock adopted of her son Louis Bardo Bullock, as a single parent.
3) Madonna
American singer-songwriter, actress and entrepreneur. Madonna, filed for adoption on October 10, 2006, for a boy from the orphanage, David Banda Mwale, and was later renamed David Banda Mwale Ciccone Ritchie. The adoption process became an issue, because according to the Malawian law, the would-be parents are required to reside in Malawi for a year before adopting a child, which Madonna did not abide, and stated, that Malawi had no written adoption laws that regulated foreign adoption, addressed during The Oprah Winfrey Show. Madonna described how David Mwale Ritchie was suffering from pneumonia after he survived from malaria and tuberculosis when she first met the baby. Yohane Mwale, Banda’s biological father, stated, that he was harassed and threatened by so-called human rights activists, and want him to support their court case, which he declined because he gave his consent of adoption between Madonna and then-husband Ritchie. On May 28, 2008, Banda Mwale’s adoption was finalized. Madonna filed for divorce from Ritchie and was finalized in December 2008, citing irreconcilable differences. Madonna decided to adopt again from Malawi, which the High Court approved initially the adoption of Chifundo “Mercy” James, however, the adoption process was rejected because Madonna was not a resident of Malawi. On June 12, 2009, Madonna appealed, and was granted by the Supreme Court of Malawi the right to adopt Mercy James.
4) Joely Fisher
American actress Joely Fisher best known for her television role as Paige Clark on Ellen, and as Joy Stark in the Fox sitcom Til Death, and as a guest judge recently on RuPaul’s Drag U, and also in films and on stage. Joely Fisher is the daughter of singer Eddie Fisher and actress Connie Stevens, was born in Burbank, California. Joely Fisher’s younger sister is actress Tricia Leigh Fisher, has a half sister, actress Carrie Fisher and a half-brother, Todd Fisher, from her father’s previous marriage to actress Debbie Reynolds. Joely Fisher was at the age of two when her parents divorced, and she was raised by her mother, Connie Stevens. On December 31, 1996, Joely Fisher married cinematographer Christopher Duddy. Together they have three daughters, Skylar Grace,born June 14, 2001, True Harlow, born February 2, 2006 and on September 2008 they adopted a daughter, Olivia Luna. She became a stepmother to Cameron and Collin, Duddy’s two sons from his previous marriage. The family resides in Los Angeles next to Tricia Fisher’s home, with whom Joely is very close. Joely Fisher became an Artist Ambassador for Save the Children in late 2008, and also visited the children as part of the child sponsorship programs in Xai-Xai, Mozambique.
5) Robert De Niro
Robert De Niro and his first wife, Diahnne Abbott, have a son, Raphael, a former actor who works in New York real estate. De Niro also adopted Drena De Niro, Abbott’s daughter from her previous relationship. Robert De Niro and Abbott divorced in 1988. De Niro has twin sons conceived via in vitro fertilization born by a surrogate mother in 1995, from his long-term live-in relationship with African American actress and former model Toukie A. Smith, the sister of late fashion designer Willi Smith. De Niro married his second wife, actress Grace Hightower in 1997, at their Marbletown home. Together they had a son, Elliott, was born in 1998 and the couple split in 1999. The divorce was never finalized and in 2004 they renewed their vows. Their daughter Helen Grace, was born via surrogate in December 2011. In addition to his six children, De Niro has four grandchildren, one from his daughter Drena, three from his son Raphael.

German-American model, television host, businesswoman, fashion designer, television producer and occasional actress, Heidi Klum, who became an American citizen in 2008, but maintained her native German citizenship. Klum married stylist Ric Pipino in 1997 and divorced in 2002. In 2003, Heidi Klum had a relationship with Flavio Briatore, the managing director of Renault’s Formula One Team, and gave birth to their daughter, Helene Boshoven “Leni” Klum in May 2004, in New York City. In the midst of her pregnancy to Leni, Klum began her relationship with musician Seal in early 2004. In May 10, 2005 Klum married English-Nigerian singer Seal on a beach in Mexico. 8) Bob Dylan
American musician, singer-songwriter, and artist Bob Dylan, first married Sara Lownds on November 22, 1965. On January 6, 1966, their first child, Jesse Byron Dylan, was born and they had three more children, Anna Lea, born July 11, 1967, Samuel Isaac Abraham, born July 30, 1968 and Jakob Luke, born December 9, 1969. Bob Dylan also adopted Sara Lownds’ daughter from a previous marriage, Maria Lownds later changed to Dylan, born October 21, 1961. Maria Dylan is married to musician Peter Himmelman in 1988. On June 29, 1977, Bob and Sara Dylan divorced. In the 1990s, Dylan’s son Jakob became popular as the lead singer of The Wallflowers band, while Bob Dylan’s other son, Jesse Dylan is a film director and a successful businessman. Bob Dylan married his longtime backup singer Carolyn Dennis (sometimes known as Carol Dennis) in June 1986. Their daughter, Desiree Gabrielle Dennis-Dylan, was born on January 31, 1986. Jillian Michaels is known for her roles on NBC’s The Biggest Loser, Losing It With Jillian and for her appearance on the talk show The Doctors. Jillian Michaels is openly bisexual and living in together with her partner, Heidi Rhoades with their two children. In May 2012, Jillian Michaels adopted their then-two-year-old daughter, Lukensia (born 2010) from Haiti, and her partner Rhoades gave birth to their son, Phoenix, born on May 3, 2012, that same month when her daughter was adopted. Tyler Gerald “Ty” Burrell, is an American actor who is known for his role in the ABC comedy, Modern Family as Phil Dunphy. In 2000, Burrell married his wife Holly. The couple resided in New York City and moved to Salt Lake City. Burrell and his wife, announced on March 18, 2010, that they had adopted a baby girl, Frances. Burrell and his wife adopted a second daughter in March 2012.

Taniqua Smith had three difficult pregnancies, and that includes the birth and death of a son, Omar, in 2006. The couple adopted their daughter, Marley, a white baby.
